“Unmasking The Truth, Part 1” (poem / poetry)

If a tsunami was coming, and you needed to reach higher ground,
You wouldn’t first put on a blindfold, as you would simply drown,
When decisions aren’t based on logic and facts, we risk harming ourselves,
Thus, appearing safe, could be the thing that endangers our health.

I’m mad at these beaurocrat puppets, and mainstream media cults,
Doing Big Pharma’s bidding, and hurting us as a result,
Who benefits from this farce? …simply put, only the wealthy,
And I don’t believe for a second, that they’re happy to see me healthy.

Which brings me on to mask usage, now being enforced by law,
We must now wear one in shops and the like, from July the 24th,
Boris, you’ve seriously lost the plot, there’s no scientific basis,
To revoke our personal choice of what we wear in public places.

Laws must not cause harm, they must be helpful, to be justified,
Yet increasingly, they violate our civil liberties and human rights,
There’s much more I want to share, on face masks and their use,
But in order to not overwhelm you, I’ll save these facts for Part 2.

Since hearing about the legislation coming into play in the UK this month, forcing everyone to not only wear masks on public transport, but in shops, etc, I felt a few days of research on the topic was necessary. In all honesty, the official narrative didn’t add up, it seemed contradictory to logic and scientific findings from the last decade.

So, I delved deeper, and what I began to piece together, is that prolonged (and even several minutes worth of) usage of face masks, can have some very alarming effects on us… the most extreme of which, can be fatal.

At this point, I just wanted to register my frustration at seeing life changing, society altering decisions being made, with no empirical data to support them!

In the spirit of openness though, I urge you to do your own research (something you won’t hear from those that are peddling lies), but if you’d like a copy of my eye opening research, just DM me, I’ll send you a message back with the links in, and you can go from there, with the aim of making your own mind up.

I will be sharing Part 2 to this piece (which I have yet to write) next week, that will detail most of my findings on the subject. Until then, (and of course, beyond), defend your right to make your own decisions, as there is much at stake.

Love and Respect always,

Following Whispers.

Author: Following Whispers

Hello, I'm Following Whispers, an English poet and author who has been writing for over two decades. I'm a self-professed geek who can get deep sometimes, but I personally don't take myself too seriously, I just love to have fun, plus inspire myself and others. In my early twenties, I realised that beauty can be born out of not only love, but also pain and other motivations. The more I used writing poetry to make sense of my busy mind, the more it helped me to find a silver lining in even the darkest emotions, experiences, observations and topics; find positivity even in the face of extreme negativity; find strength when I was being forced to feel weak; and find hope that my tomorrows would be brighter. I began publishing my writing in 2018 and currently have three books available Worldwide, including my most recent release "Poems That Move You". I have bared my soul in each and every one of my poems, and I'm confident that you'll get just as much from reading them and relating them, as I did from writing them. Please feel free to look around my site and read the free poems I've shared there, after which, why not pick up a book of mine, drop by Instagram, connect with me and say hello!
