Did Chickens at one time, actually fly?
Did they start out on first-name terms with the Sky?
Maybe, being hand-fed enough to get by,
Made their radical skill and ambition rewind.
Once majestic, now ruled by domestication,
Imprisoned, with a lifespan that our hunger hastens,
Seen as commodities, controlled by the apron,
One day, may the Sky once again be their haven.

Although this piece appears to be about Chickens, it actually speaks volumes about Mankind’s journey thus far, and the pitfalls that may await us, if we don’t keep our wits about us!
We’ve already surrendered to a system, that for the most part maintains our survival, but rather than striving to be the majestic beings we were always meant to be, many of us are content with being hand-fed, and complacently sign away most our freedoms and rights for the privilege, without ever reading the small-print.
However, sacrificing our say in how our lives progress, how we are able to conduct ourselves, not to mention the hoops we must jump through, just to avoid the chopping block of the butcher for a while longer, hasn’t really worked out for Chickens, has it!
It’s important, especially during this turbulent and uncertain era we are facing, that we stay vigilant, and understand what the long term knock-on effects may be, of the solutions we’re offered, such as a Universal Basic Income, a Compulsory Vaccination Programme, Policed Travel Restrictions, etc.
Be careful that you too do not become a commodity, much like a bird species losing its ability to fly, now unable to liberate itself from the jaws of its predators, or decide its own destiny.
Please be careful.
Love and Respect always,
