Someone, help me, please call the cops!
There’s a robbery in progress, and they’ll never stop,
They’re after my treasure, my sacred jewel,
They know where to look, without using Google.
Determined to acquire my most precious item,
Passing my defences, I’m really quite frightened,
The last lock is bested, I’m emotionally thirsty,
Here, take my heart, but please don’t hurt me!

Some of us know heartache better than we know ourselves, we go way back, and every time someone gets close to our heart, the fear kicks in, and our protective measures are initiated and are put on high alert.
Occasionally, this is for a good reason, but often we shut out a good thing without first giving it a chance, thus letting our past rule our future.
It is a hard reflex to overcome, especially for those who’ve known nothing but pain. However, what if the real, truly unbearable and unlimited pain, is that we send something tailor made for us packing, simply because we are sceptical and overly evasive when it comes to the possibility of finding love, or love finding us.
All I ask, is please be open to the possibility?! I’d hate for you to rob yourself of happiness, just because you let fear get the better of you.
Love and Respect always,
