Someone has an idea, then sculpts its development,
Shares a post with an audience, they deem relevant,
After 48 hours, they see very few likes,
They lose faith in the idea, which in turn, dims their light.
Those few likes aren’t the blossom, but merely the seeds,
Which may grow silently into a Billion deeds,
Don’t do things for attention, use your voice in the quiet,
Speak your heart, shine your light, that is all that’s required.

I was speaking with one of my very insightful and inspiring friends recently, after complementing yet another of his fantastic posts. However, he was quite down about the impact he felt his voice had made on this occasion, after seeing few likes on it.
This piece is a summary of what I said to him, an important message that afterwards, I felt needed to be shared with others, and so I began to write. So, this piece and the reassurance I gave him are delivering upon their message already, he inspired me, I will hopefully inspire some of you too, and so on.
We will never know what the true impact of our actions, words and deeds will be, even if we perceive them not having much, this doesn’t make them any less important to others, therefore, we should continue to share, otherwise we will not only stop our own shine, but also stop the wonderful ripple effects from happening.
Trust that even the smallest, humblest deed, can have a huge effect on more things than we can begin to comprehend! So forget attention, shine for the sake of shining, my friends!
