There’s a phrase that relates to things matching a mould,
“You can’t fit a square peg in a round hole”,
Yet I beg to differ, as I think that you can,
It depends how creative your perception is man!
Many people hear something and believe it outright,
They don’t question the narrative, or use their foresight,
It’s not straightforward, thanks to the square’s corners,
But what if the square was fractionally smaller!?

This piece is an exercise in perception, and in challenging the limitations that are placed upon us, that most of us adopt without hesitation.
Imagine a square approaching a circular hole, the centre of its edges are perfectly in line with the circle, but the square’s corners extend beyond the round hole’s empty circumference. How does the square pass through, without damaging the hole’s shape or structure?
Well, it’s a simple problem of scale, the square’s exploration of this new opportunity isn’t the problem, but the presumed scale of the venture is!
If the square were to reduce its overall size by 30% or more, it would fit through unobstructed. You could do something similar by increasing the size of the hole too, but, having been told from the start that the square won’t fit, how many would even attempt this? Few, possibly none.
I saw this play out in my mind some months ago, during one of my sleepless nights, and told no one, but today I chose to share this with you. Out of the box thinking like this, is responsible for more discoveries and achievements than you can imagine… environmental; spiritual; scientific; philosophical; and many more.
How could you make use of this determined, fluid way of thinking?
