Starting with a muddled and chaotic mess,

I begin to decipher the puzzle I’m set,

Seeing fragments of something with much deeper meaning,

As I connect the pieces, more truth I’m revealing.

I drink in the beauty of the greater design,

As the secrets unfold, they strengthen my mind,

The mystery’s solved, understanding’s received,

But what if this puzzle, is merely one piece!?

Have you ever gained deep insight, only to realise that this is only the beginning of your journey of enlightenment?

We may never know all there is to know, but it’s still extremely worthwhile seeking and sharing this knowledge and wisdom.

The more insight you embrace, the more you realise that everything is connected, more than we will ever fully comprehend. The best we can do is continue to seek greater understanding, and basque in its complex simplicity and uplifting beauty.

Love and Respect always,

Following Whispers.

Author: Following Whispers

Hello, I'm Following Whispers, an English poet and author who has been writing for around two decades. I'm a self-professed geek who can get deep sometimes, but I personally don't take myself too seriously, I just love to have fun, plus inspire myself and others. In my early twenties, I realised that beauty can be born out of not only love, but also pain and other motivations. The more I used writing poetry to make sense of my busy mind, the more it helped me to find a silver lining in even the darkest emotions, experiences, observations and topics; find positivity even in the face of extreme negativity; find strength when I was being forced to feel weak; and find hope that my tomorrows would be brighter. I began publishing my writing in 2018 and currently have two books available Worldwide, including my most recent release "Confront The Shadows". I have bared my soul in each and every one of my poems, and I'm confident that you'll get just as much from reading them and relating them, as I did from writing them. Please feel free to look around my site and read the free poems I've shared here, after which, why not grab a book of mine, drop by Instagram, connect with me and say hello!

  1. Hi…I preferred the commentary to the poem. I think spirituality is not all rainbows and sunrises. In my experience spirituality can also take you to some dark dreadful places. I would go as far as to say spiritual exploration is dangerous jigging around in the mechanics of life. Just accept things and live your life. Don’t go digging under bonnet. It’s not worth ruining your life.

    1. Hi, thank you for your feedback.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, we all see the World through glasses tinted in the hue of our experiences. I have had many an experience that almost broke my spirit, although this is something I would not change, as the lessons I eventually reaped from them, helped me grow emotionally and spiritually, leaving me with greater understanding as a result.

I now value the balance of knowing and not knowing, of seeking and being sought. Nothing is black and white, my friend, but there is beauty in the contrast if you wish to see and acknowledge it.
