Your departure was needed, but still, I’m conflicted,
Since you left me, I feel very different,
You got too big for your boots, to be fair,
To keep you around, would’ve caused me despair.
You were quickly removed, I severed our bond,
A process I’ll have to repeat before long,
But a part of you always remains with me,
My toenail clippings, R.I.P.

🤣🤣🤣 …what a twist right!?! I did NOT see that coming! …who am I kidding, of course I did, I wrote the damn poem! 😂😂😂
Have you ever given any thought to the parts of you that you’ve discarded? Hair, nails, etc. They inevitably end up in a landfill site, and elsewhere, connecting with other people’s discarded genetic material, people that you’ll probably never meet any other way!
Also, think about this, the first human in space, may well have been in the form of minuscule dust particles, containing dead skin, not the much celebrated Yuri Gagarin, or the lesser known Vladimir Ilyushin, (rumoured to have achieved the feat 5 days before the widely credited Cosmonaut, Yuri)!
Yes, I am aware that I have a peculiar mind, which regularly thinks of things that many others would never ponder, but it serves me well in my chosen calling as a writer, and it makes my life (and hopefully that of others) all the more wonderful and entertaining, and I wouldn’t have it any other way! 😉😁
Love and Respect always,
