When the Rooster calls, what’s your response?

Do you leap out of bed, and get to it at once,

With a huge smile, greeting the new day head on,

Or become bitter, frustrated or nonchalant?

Not everyone hears the Rooster’s loud beckon,

Someone’s time is up, with each passing second,

Be fuelled by your blessings, inspired by your lessons,

That’s my take on things, but what do YOU reckon?

Man this life can be tough! …we’ve all dwelled on this fact at some point in time too, and for some of us, that’s pretty much all we’ve known! Yes, life can drain our batteries, it can put us up against seemingly insurmountable odds, test our resolve, and attempt to call our bluff, but it’s what we do next that matters most.

Every thought, action, intention, word and emotion that we generate, is projected out into the Universe, with more raw power and magnetic force than the largest Star or Black Hole in existence! (Stop for a minute, please reread this paragraph… so your mind can fully digest it, and visualise its meaning in our lives).

You are the Author of your life, regardless of what you are faced with, you can choose to either rise to the challenge and let it enrich your spirit, or you can cower, complain and generate a negative tractor beam, bringing more of everything that you hate and fear, even closer!

Hate, fear and other soul sapping forces, can only be repelled and overcome by fine-tuning your perspective. Picture a remote control that’s not working, but when you dig deeper, you find that the batteries are facing the wrong way, so, what happens when you switch their polarity? …you gain control!

Armed with this, approaches like seeing every single day as a blessing, even the tough ones, become much easier, also, making daily positive affirmations and taking regular small steps towards achieving them, provides a way to literally change your life!

Love and Respect always,

Following Whispers.

Author: Following Whispers

Hello, I'm Following Whispers, an English poet and author who has been writing for around two decades. I'm a self-professed geek who can get deep sometimes, but I personally don't take myself too seriously, I just love to have fun, plus inspire myself and others. In my early twenties, I realised that beauty can be born out of not only love, but also pain and other motivations. The more I used writing poetry to make sense of my busy mind, the more it helped me to find a silver lining in even the darkest emotions, experiences, observations and topics; find positivity even in the face of extreme negativity; find strength when I was being forced to feel weak; and find hope that my tomorrows would be brighter. I began publishing my writing in 2018 and currently have two books available Worldwide, including my most recent release "Confront The Shadows". I have bared my soul in each and every one of my poems, and I'm confident that you'll get just as much from reading them and relating them, as I did from writing them. Please feel free to look around my site and read the free poems I've shared here, after which, why not grab a book of mine, drop by Instagram, connect with me and say hello!
