“Resonant Love”

The Wedding Singer stepped up to the mic,

A tender inflection came out of his pipes,

The crowd stood amazed by this wondrous sound,

He sang love songs, some his own, some renowned.

To a magical world, he transported them all,

The crowd were spellbound and deeply enthralled,

After five encores, his crooning subdued,

As he left, you could still feel the love in the room.

Do you need a pen in order to inscribe love on the hearts of the people you meet? My answer is: no… you can use your voice; your body (through interpretive dance, heartfelt performances in sports, or other disciplines); your eyes; your smile; your charitable nature; your actions; giving long, warm hugs; the energy you choose to project; etc, etc, etc.

A pen is a beautiful way to touch the hearts of others, but it is merely one of thousands of ways to do so, and we writers sometimes forget that fact. So, this piece is dedicated to a fictional, but plausible character, singing at a Wedding Reception, pouring his heart out, in celebration of the uplifting union of two hearts.

He values love greatly and treasures its power to create strong bonds, heal, uplift and inspire, all of which comes through in his vocal performance. He conveys emotions so exquisitely, that everyone who hears his soul pour out in song, are immediately touched and filled with immense joy and devotion for all.

When we are privileged enough to experience such a mesmerising, inspirational blessing, it is our responsibility to keep it alive by sharing this newfound sensation, thus it continues to multiply and stokes a passion inside of others to do the same. This in turn gives everyone the ability, to ascend humankind to even greater plateaus.

So, what’s your preferred way or ways of ensuring love continues to grow?

Have you ever been deeply moved and invigorated before, in the same way as this Wedding Party were?

How can YOU be the spark that ignites such an effect, going forward?

Love and Respect always,

Following Whispers.

Author: Following Whispers

Hello, I'm Following Whispers, an English poet and author who has been writing for over two decades. I'm a self-professed geek who can get deep sometimes, but I personally don't take myself too seriously, I just love to have fun, plus inspire myself and others. In my early twenties, I realised that beauty can be born out of not only love, but also pain and other motivations. The more I used writing poetry to make sense of my busy mind, the more it helped me to find a silver lining in even the darkest emotions, experiences, observations and topics; find positivity even in the face of extreme negativity; find strength when I was being forced to feel weak; and find hope that my tomorrows would be brighter. I began publishing my writing in 2018 and currently have three books available Worldwide, including my most recent release "Poems That Move You". I have bared my soul in each and every one of my poems, and I'm confident that you'll get just as much from reading them and relating them, as I did from writing them. Please feel free to look around my site and read the free poems I've shared there, after which, why not pick up a book of mine, drop by Instagram, connect with me and say hello!
