This World of ours, has billions of dishes,
Yet total transformation are their most common wishes,
A disservice to how yummy, they already are,
Loving your essence, leads to Michelin Stars.
The smallest of tweaks, should be all that’s desired,
Just to celebrate your beautiful mystique and style,
You’re way more delicious than you give credit for,
Your unique flavour’s precious, can we please have some more?
Many of us are desperately trying to figure out what dish (or rather who) we want to be, looking out into the World and seeing aromatic, exotic cuisines, we yearn to discard our core ingredients and duplicate these recipes instead, which in turn compromises our inner essence!
When we turn our back on what makes us the unique individuals we already are, we degrade our own worth and restrict our potential, beginning a process of internal decomposition, often ruining our remaining and new ingredients so much, that no amount of seasoning will mask the rancid, artificial after-taste!
The way to remedy such a dire outcome? …dispose of the spoiled culinary experiment, research your original recipe, have an honest conversation with yourself, get back to the core ingredients you didn’t give a proper chance before, and this time embrace them, by learning to love your unique blend.
Yes, our calling is to evolve, to grow as people, to become wiser, to leave a tantalising effect on the taste buds of the World, but these things only really amount to adding pinches of complimentary seasonings to us, the option of condiments on the side, and how you carry and present yourself.
In short, don’t become a copy and paste restaurant franchise, or a microwaveable TV dinner that lacks substance, revel in your own deliciousness, and be proud of what you bring to the table.
