Land of wonder, time of joy,
Sprinkles of magic for us to enjoy,
Winter enchantment, mystic beliefs,
An excuse to gormandise festive treats.
Although we acquire, there’s a focus on giving,
Downgraded working, prioritised living,
But the best thing about this time, that really rocks,
Is a child shunning toys, mesmerised by a box.
Whatever your persuasion is at this most festive season, whether you love or loathe this time of year…
Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Xmas, Kwanzaa, Omisoka, Yule, etc, or none of them, there are many things that take place more commonly during this period, that can raise your spirits.
If you find yourself overwhelmed by increasingly intensified expectations, the loneliness, financial burdens, and other stresses, there are a few things you can do that really help, and I’m speaking from experience.
Firstly, remember that this World is a much better place with you in it.
Second, forget all the so-called “traditional” things that you’re told to do or feel, quieten your mind and listen to your heart, not anger, or any other volatile emotion or thought, but your heart.
Third, look for the simple beauty, you just need to train your eye to see the many examples all around you… the selflessness, creativity, unity, empathy, childhood innocence, and the love.
Lastly, give humanity the opportunity to surprise and uplift you, and know that I love each and every one of you, dearly!
Love and Respect always,
