If my life had been less eventful,
Would I still strive to reach my potential?
Without my past hardships, turmoil and stress,
Would I find the fuel to rise to the test?
I’ve come a long way, from where I began,
All I’ve endured, helps me understand,
The struggles of others, and aide their repair,
Pain turns into a catalyst, do not despair.
When you truly reflect on the tough times you’ve been through, it becomes apparent that you wouldn’t be half the person you are without those moments.
They fuel both your potential, and your ability to empathise with others going through troubling times. Overcoming them makes you more amazing.
Life is never going to be perfect, but when we embrace our bruises, focusing on using them to grow internally, we can also inspire change and better realities for others.
As the late great Ghandi once said, “be the change you want to see in the World”. The hurdles that we overcome, have the power to fuel that positive change.
