A room full of creative minds,

Stalls and gifts, wondrous kinds,

All containing a piece of the sculptor’s soul,

A devotion of love, their ultimate goal.

People actively showing support,

All there to raise funds for a noble cause,

A gathering, a chance to buy and sell things,

Plus a charity replenished, everyone wins!

I had great time at a fundraising event last weekend, in support of a charity tackling breast cancer, and supporting those who have to go through this tough issue.

Lots of money was raised on the day, but what was really lovely to see, were people coming together, to do what they could, to help people dealing with this affliction, that they may never even meet in their entire life!

One of the highlights of the day for me, was having a nice chat with a sweet old lady at my stall (see photo). She wanted to buy a personalised, gift wrapped copy of my book, “Proceed With Awesome” to send to her Daughter who loves poetry, and is an actress and screen writer living and working in Los Angeles!

How cool is it that a book of mine bought here in the UK, will make a journey through the skies all the way to Tinseltown, at Christmas, simply because a Mother’s love for her daughter knows no bounds! It’s a gesture that I find simply beautiful!

Love and Respect always,

Following Whispers.

Author: Following Whispers

Hello, I'm Following Whispers, an English poet and author who has been writing for over two decades. I'm a self-professed geek who can get deep sometimes, but I personally don't take myself too seriously, I just love to have fun, plus inspire myself and others. In my early twenties, I realised that beauty can be born out of not only love, but also pain and other motivations. The more I used writing poetry to make sense of my busy mind, the more it helped me to find a silver lining in even the darkest emotions, experiences, observations and topics; find positivity even in the face of extreme negativity; find strength when I was being forced to feel weak; and find hope that my tomorrows would be brighter. I began publishing my writing in 2018 and currently have three books available Worldwide, including my most recent release "Poems That Move You". I have bared my soul in each and every one of my poems, and I'm confident that you'll get just as much from reading them and relating them, as I did from writing them. Please feel free to look around my site and read the free poems I've shared there, after which, why not pick up a book of mine, drop by Instagram, connect with me and say hello!
