It’s been a long, hard graft,
My body’s relieved it’s done,
These muscles are feeling the burn,
Their recovery has begun.
I’ve a huge sense of achievement,
As the expectations were steep,
Now that I’ve exceeded my target,
I’ve earned a bear-sized sleep.
There are those days where you get up earlier than usual, tackle the day head on, totally smash through what you had to take care of, then do some more slaying, just for the hell of it.
On those days, you can, without a doubt take pride in your achievements, your work ethic, and your drive and determination.
So, if after all of that graft, your body is calling out for a rest, then indulge it a little, you deserve it!
