The pain I feel, is immeasurable,
At my Sensei’s untimely demise,
The culprit has fled, there’s a price on his head,
There is nothing else left to decide.
I shall hunt down this retched assassin,
Not for fame or the handsome reward,
Now my Master is gone, I won’t truly belong,
‘Til our honour has forthwith been restored.
It is the way of the Samurai, the bushido code, that if your Sensei is assassinated, you must avenge their death, in order to restore the honour of your samurai school, your family and yourself, gladly giving your own life to achieve this if necessary.
Imagine if such a code of chivalry and honour, was applied to any attempts to extinguish our human rights, the politicians and big corporations would be quaking in their boots! …just some food for thought.
